48. Body checking is putting the E-brake on your body goals. HERE'S WHY.
I'm BACK with a new podcast episode, and I have a lot in store for you this week!
You know the moments where you walk past a mirror, and just have a quick look:
"Has my body changed?"
"Is this diet/coaching working?"
"Do I have to eat less today?"
Some days you like what you see, but on the days you don't, your mind starts racing, and sometimes it's like there's that classic cymbal banging monkey in your head saying:
"You look fat"
or
"You can’t eat that bad food!"
This shit used to fully dictate my mood for the day, and absolutely influenced my day to day behaviour around exercise and nutrition, and in this episode I take you back a few year in my fitness journey and tell you my story with body checking, and how it had me full white-knuckle clutching the E-brake on my body goals.
I know a lot of struggling active women are doing this right now, and a lot of them think that body checking might actually be HELPING them reach their body goals, but in this episode I'm going to PROVE to you how it's actually doing the OPPOSITE for you, leaving you stuck at skinny-fat, and some tangible tips on how you can move through this and overcome it for yourself, so that you can finally get some lasting body composition changes happening.
