49. Navigating MyFitnessPal, calorie tracking, and ditching Diet Perfectionism
For a lot of women, tracking calories on apps like MyFitnessPal can reaaaaaallly *%#k with their head...for some, even just mentioning tracking is enough to send them into a spiral. 🌀
So if you've ever struggled with tracking, this ep is for you!
✨Nutrition and exercise are meant to give you MORE energy, make you feel confident, strong and empowered, not drain the crap out of your energy and stress you the F out... Unfortunately so many women are getting stuck in vicious cycles of needing everything and every number to be perfect, and the second it's not, thinking they won’t see results. The irony here is that this IS a self-fulfilling prophecy, and you probably WON'T see results this way. 🫠
That's why in this episode I'm gonna be going over MFP/calorie counting/tracking: when it's useful, AND when it's DESTRUCTIVE and absolutely NOT useful, as well as bringing into awareness some subconscious patterns that you might be operating from without realising, which are blocking you from seeing lasting body composition results.
I'm also gonna leave you with some really good tips to help you break free from these patterns, as well as things you can walk away with today to start "setting a new course" 😉 🚤
